NEWPORT — The Newport Recreation Department will hold a signup for swimming lessons, tennis instruction and T-ball on Monday, June 22.

Sign-up for swimming lessons will be at the swimfront on Sebasticook Lake from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 22. Beginners s will be taught this summer for six weeks. Classes will have a maximum of 10 participants. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Newport residents will have priority.

Registration for tennis instruction will be at the tennis courts on Grove Street from 11 a.m. to noon for age groups eight to 10 and 11 to 14. Class size will be limited to 14 per group.

Registration for boys and girls T-ball, ages five through eight will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Rec Center on West Street. Parents must attend registration and will be asked to coach to make this program possible.
