Tweedie, Stevenson, Judkins power Bangor West

OLD TOWN – Erica Tweedie launched two doubles, two singles and knocked in five runs to lead Bangor West to a 19-12 victory over Old Town in a District 3 Little League All-Star softball game for 11- and 12-year-olds.

Lindsey Stevenson singled twice and plated four runs for the winners. Megan Judkins added two singles.

Brooke Hackett sparked Old Town with two doubles, a single and four RBIs. Devan Richard rapped three singles, Allison Brown stroked an RBI double, and Cally Randall collected three singles.

Hampden 11, Glenburn 2

At Glenburn, Michelle Wells scattered two hits and struck out six to help Hampden hold off Glenburn.

Eva Shannon, Rachel Lawler, Kate Plowman and Kacey Belcher each hit a single for Hampden.

Kim Russell led Glenburn with a double and Ashley Smith added a single.

At Hampden, Will Sherrill scored on a bases-loaded walk issued to Caleb Kirk after Hampden squandered a seven-run cushion in the top of the inning, but rallied to knock off Brewer.

Josh Tardiff slammed a two-run homer for the winners. Patrick Stevens collected three singles and four RBIs. Harvey Shue had three singles, a double, and knocked in a run.

Dave McNally crushed a three-run homer for Brewer. Mike Kotredes jolted a solo home of his own, to go with two singles and four RBIs. Dylan Fitzpatrick launched a pair of doubles, a single, and pushed across two runs.

At Lincoln, Tyler White doubled and drove in two runs as Lincoln tipped Glenburn.

Adam Laird added an RBI single for Lincoln.

Andrew Casey knocked in two runs on a single. Johnny Diamond drew a bases-loaded walk for an RBI.

Holbrook 12, Orrington 2

At Holden, Nick Smith belted a three-run homer in the first to get the win started for Holbrook.

Ethan Cushman doubled and singled for the winners. Charlie Merritt added a two-run single, to go with his one-hit, eight strikeout performance.

Prentiss Swett singled for Orrington.

Bangor East 12, Millinocket 0

At Bangor, Chris Ingraham fired a two-hit shutout, striking out six and walking two in four innings of work as Bangor East bounced Millinocket from the District 3 11-12 tourney.

Ingraham helped his cause with the bat as well with a two-run triple. Kyle Gallant and Christian Dionne each slammed a two-run homer to go with a single. Tyler Brookings added two singles and two RBIs.

Justin Pelkey and Josh Montgomery had a single each for Millinocket.

Coastal 7, Acadian 2

At Blue Hill, John Astbury smashed a pair of homers, a two-run shot and a three-run blast, to go with 10 strikeouts on the hill, as Coastal prevailed.

Jeremy Dunham roped two singles for the winners.

Luke Hartson cranked a triple to spark Acadian of Mount Desert Island. Dylan Burr laced a double, and Justin Gilmartin singled twice.

Calais 6, Sunrise 5

At Milbridge, Sam Bell’s two-run double in the bottom of the sixth tied the game, and Rod Tirrell reached on an error, allowing Bell to score the game-winning run as Calais edged Sunrise.

Matt O’Brien and Melvin Waycott reached on an error and a hit-by-pitch, respectively, before Bell hit his double. Bell and Tirrell added a single apiece. Nathan O’Neil and Timmy Reed each doubled.

George Pickard doubled and singled for Sunrise. Mickey Manning hit two singles. Blake Alley struck out eight in the loss.

At Ellsworth, Lucas Marks launched a solo homer plus an RBI single to spark Bucksport.

Brandon Blain singled, doubled and knocked in a pair for the winners. Jon Pelletier added two singles and two RBIs.

Dillon Wilbur cranked a solo homer for Ellsworth and Travis Dressel slammed a two-run homer.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, two five-run innings sealed the win for Lincoln.

Steve Whitney propelled Lincoln with a single and three RBIs. Dylon Hanscom added three singles and an RBI.

Hermon’s Chris Archer doubled, singled and added an RBI. Bill Bart singled twice and had an RBI, and Brady Hynd hit two singles.

Bangor 17, Old Town 3

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Anthony Derosa tripled in Bangor’s 13-run fourth inning and pitched the win, striking out seven in four innings of work.

Nate Hall and Josh Young each drove in three runs. Young finished with a double and a single, and Hall added two singles.

Alex Glossian singled twice for Old Town.

At Glenburn, Hannah Morin knocked in four runs on a double and two singles to power Old Town to the win.

Tori Huckestein doubled, singled and drove in a run for Old Town. Whitney Leland hit a double and added an RBI, and Charlotte Lonko doubled and singled.

Kylie Thibodeau-Harvey led Glenburn with a triple, a double and a single. Lauren Fitzgerald chipped in with a double.
