OLD TOWN – Matt Jones pitched a one-hitter Wednesday, allowing no earned runs and one walk while striking out six to lead Old Town to a 3-2 victory over Bangor East for the District 3 Little League ages 11-12 baseball championship.
Tyler Honey drove in the winning run on a fielder’s choice. Matt Jones, Evan Paradis and Dana Leland singled.
Ross Allen singled for Bangor East behind Chris Ingraham, who scattered three hits.

At Bangor Tuesday, Kyle Gallant fired a three-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts as Bangor East ousted Bangor West.
Chad Kelley and Mack Susi singled for their only hits.
Bangor West’s hard-luck losing pitcher Ian Edwards struck out eight and allowed two hits. Christian LaRochelle singled twice for Bangor West and Edwards singled.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Neil Russell’s three scoreless innings of relief and a five-run seventh lifted Bangor to the District 3 championship.

Mitchell Peasley had a double and a single for Holbrook. Chris Smith singled twice.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Keith Nason allowed two hits over four innings and Kevin Kotredes’ two-run homer in the sixth ended the game via the mercy rule as Orono-Veazie eliminated Lincoln.
Kevin McAvoy had two doubles and two singles for four RBIs to pace Orono-Veazie. Alex Means had three singles.
Steve Whitney hit an RBI single for Lincoln.
