Milo’s Batchelder wins at Speedway 95 Thibodeau cruises at Unity Raceway

HERMON – While the regular racing divisions at Speedway 95 enjoyed a weekend off, the Wednesday night crews headed to the track to put on a Fan Appreciation show.

Lewis Batchelder of Milo survived six red-flag race stoppages to win the 50-lap little enduro feature.

Richard Burrill of Sullivan finished second while Scott Coffin of Carmel was third. Fourth place went to Mike Golding of Bucksport and John Luce of Carmel was fifth.

Thibodeau victorious at Unity

At Unity Raceway, Pat Thibodeau of Winterport took the lead on lap 5 and never looked back en route to his second consecutive pro stock division victory on Saturday.

Kris Huff of Orrington ran unchallenged for the final 22 laps to take second while Dean Fuller of Albion topped Bub Raven of Thorndike in a spirited battle for third.

Mark Watson of Clinton finished fifth.

At Winterport Dragway, Mac Beckwith of Bangor finished first in the Super Pro and Elliot Lowe of Owls Head took second while Don Barnes of Calais placed third.

Oakes takes Wiscasset points lead

At Wiscasset Raceway, Peter Oakes of Boothbay entered Saturday night’s pro stock feature trailing Charlie Colby of Newcastle by two points, but took the series lead by earning his fourth victory of the season.

Jim Kaler Jr. of Newcastle finished second in the racew while Cory Hight of Skowhegan took third. John Phippen Jr. of Bar Harbor was fourth and Mark Norris of Farmington was fifth.

Colby finished eighth.
