SWANS ISLAND – The annual summer picnic of the Maine Mount Holyoke College Club will be held Thursday, Aug. 1, at the residence of Sally and Iver Lofving.

Members should take the 10:30 a.m. ferry from Bass Harbor. The return ferry is at 1:30 or 3 p.m. Fare is $6 round trip, with an extra charge for parking.

Members should bring a sandwich and soft drink. Tea, coffee and desserts will be served. RSVP at 526-4121.
