ORONO – Kelly Hollinger and Cassie Mussleman scored goals to lead Delaware past the University of Maine 2-1 in field hockey here Friday. It was Maine’s North Atlantic Conference opener.

Hollinger, on Jen Daggett’s assist, had the only score of the first half, but Mussleman’s unassisted tally with 21:56 left in the second half clinched the win.

Maine scored with 16:26 left in the game as Carrie Goodhue fed Wendy Dubois for the tally. Maine had six shots on goal and five penalty corners. Goalie Mary Lou Winstel made 18 saves.

UD had 28 shots on goal and 12 penalty corners while goalie Lisa Wood posted four saves.
