DEXTER – April Rockwell’s goal off a pass from Lori Keyte two minutes into the second half was the only goal of the game and gave the host Tigers a 1-0 schoolgirl field hockey victory over Central of East Corinth Saturday.
For the 8-2-2 Tigers, Lindsay Smith made six saves on 11 shots for her sixth shutout of the season.
Mylissa Moors made 10 saves on 19 shots for the 4-6-2 Red Devils.
Dexter won the JV game 3-2.
Foxcroft 6, Bangor 0
At Dover-Foxcroft, Amy Charles scored twice and led the host Foxcroft Academy Ponies to the shutout over Bangor.
Single goals were scored by Kendra Gillespie, Sue LaPointe, Kylie Kimball, and Liza Pembroke. Also for 7-4-1 Foxcroft, Jen Michaud made three saves on five shots for her first shutout.
Heather Turner made five saves on 15 shots for the 0-13 Rams.
Foxcroft won the JV game 1-0.
Orono 2, Belfast 2
At Orono, Dana Ventura and Tyra Gettleman each scored goals for Orono, while Lori Anne Barrows and Nicki Paul tallied for Belfast in the tie.
For Orono, 8-2-2, Amy Oliver and Jen Wlodarski contributed assists. Goalie Brooke Monberg recorded eight saves, facing 11 shots.
For Belfast, 5-5-2, Carrie Hall had an assist. Staci Smith made 10 saves in net, facing 15 shots.
Orono won the JV game 2-1.
