BANGOR – The Bangor State Fair continues through Sunday at Bass Park fairgrounds. Highlights include:
. Paul Bunyan Lumberjack show at 3, 5 and 7 p.m. Aug. 1-4.
. Legends of Wrestling: Northeast Championship Professional Wrestling, 7 p.m. Aug. 3. The cost of the show is $10 and covers the price of fair admission if tickets are purchased by Friday.
. Salute to hometown heroes, Aug. 4, with all Maine firefighters, police officers and families are admitted free of charge. The annual Firefighters Muster will take place at noon that day.
. Fernald Lumber Yankee Hitch, with six giant Belgian horses, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 4 p.m. Aug. 2, 6 p.m. Aug. 3, and 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at the grandstand.
. Reptile Adventure shows, 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. Aug. 1-3; 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 4, behind the grandstand. There also will be an exhibit throughout the day.
Ongoing activities include Reptile Adventures, 4-H events, visits to Old MacDonald’s Farm and a pet show. The fair closes at 8 p.m. Aug. 4.
