Cole’s 5 RBIs power Blue Hill past Schoodic

BREWER – Toby Cole knocked in five runs with a triple and two singles to help lead Blue Hill past Schoodic 14-3 in Bay League tournament baseball action Saturday.

Pete Collier had a double, a single, and two RBIs while Nick Henry contributed with two singles.

Willy Seward, Royce Blackwood, and Mike Cowperthwaite each hit a single for Schoodic.

Blue Hill moves on to play Brewer in a best-of-three final Saturday.

Central Maine Summer League Millinocket 10, Dexter 9

At Kenduskeag, Matt Barnett hit a two-run home run and added a double and a single for three more RBIs and helped give Millinocket the edge it needed to take the under-17 championship title.

Matt Wark contributed with a triple, a double, and two singles while Jordan Burleigh and Craig Cullen added two singles apiece.

Mike Martin, Eric Day, and Ryan Crane each hit two singles for Dexter.
