A public party honoring Mildred “Brownie” Schrumpf on her 90th birthday will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at the Asa Adams School in Orono.
In celebration of a lifetime of cooking excellence, “Brownie’s Kitchen” has been established at the Page Farm and Home Museum at the University of Maine. Brownie’s Kitchen will be part of a suite of rooms depicting how people lived in the late 1800s to the early ’20s. Documented artifacts suitable for this kitchen may be donated or items may be contributed to a scrapbook.
Contributions may also be made to the scholarship at the University of Maine Foundation, which is in the names of Mildred Schrumpf and the late William Schrumpf.
