It’s been a long time since I was attacked by a dog; but not only will I never forget it but I still have the scars to remind me. As prudent as one can be one simply cannot predict how one reacts to fear. To this day I’ve got a serious problem with angry dogs, or seemingly, “Oh, he won’t bite you,” casually stated by the owner.
After reading the story of Malcolm Salisbury, I thought the district attorney and the judge must have these kinds of pets. Shooting attacking dogs on one’s own property and doing time and a fine — what’s wrong with this picture? I would say it’s a combination of stupidities: Salisbury plea bargaining and the Hancock County district attorney’s office going to the dogs. Peary Brown Hancock
