BEAVER FALLS, N.Y. – Andy Santerre of Cherryfield, Maine, lost ground on a pit stop with less than 60 laps remaining but rebounded to win the Little Trees 150, the inaugural Busch North Series NASCAR Touring event at Adirondack International Speedway Saturday night.

Santerre charged back through the field and passed race-leader Matt Kobyluck with nine laps to go en route to his third win of the season.

The win tightened up the race for the points title, as Kobyluck finished second and Brad Leighton took third. The race outcome put Kobyluck six points ahead of Leighton in first place in the points race. Santerre lurks just 49 points behind Kobyluck.

Santerre averaged 68.113 miles per hour and won $12,245 in his 13th career Busch North victory. The race was slowed seven times by caution flags that cost drivers 39 laps of true racing.

Santerre started in the fifth position and led the race from laps 20-36, 41-91 and 142-150.

Other Maine drivers in the top 20: Kelly Moore of Scarborough (sixth), Tracy Gordon of Strong (12th), Bill Penfold of Yarmouth (14th), Mike Gallo of Sanford (16th) and Carey Heath of Eliot (19th).
