PRESQUE ISLE — School Administrative District 1 will hold Eighth-grade Job Shadow Day on Friday, April 23.
On that day, eighth-graders will accompany their adult relatives and neighbors to work in offices, factories, garages or restaurants.
Carolyn R. St. Pierre, coordinator of services, said the event will offer eighth-graders exposure to job fields they may wish to enter. The students will be encouraged to find mentors for the careers in which they are interested.
Depending on the nature of the work site, full or half-day job experiences are being accepted. People who want to become mentors are asked to contact St. Pierre at 764-7722.
