VEAZIE – The Veazie 3K road race, originally scheduled for this weekend, will not be held this year, according to Newell Lewey, race director.

The race has been held for the past two years in conjunction with Veazie’s Summer Festival, but organizers could not get together on the date and time for this year’s race, Lewey said.

Lewey said he still hopes to have the race and may schedule an October date. It could be a fund-raiser, he added.
