EAST SULLIVAN – Ben Friedman scored an unassisted goal 3:48 into overtime Monday, lifting George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill to a 4-3 schoolboy soccer victory over Sumner.
Mark Clapp scored twice for the 3-1 Eagles and James Lawsing had one goal and one assist. James Friend made 14 saves on 20 shots.
Christian Knoelor paced 1-4 Sumner with two goals and an assist. Will Seyffer provided a goal and an assist to back Juan Velancia, who made 21 saves on 27 shots.
Nokomis 3, Bucksport 0
At Newport, Erik Gardner and Mike Jacques combined to make seven saves on nine shots as the Warriors shut out the Golden Bucks.
Matt Fraser scored two goals for 3-1 Nokomis. Mike Conrad scored once and Justin Nichols chipped in with an assist.
Trevor Stevens came up with 16 saves on 28 shots for 0-3 Bucksport.

At Charleston, Nick Waite led the way for the Knights by scoring five goals.
Thiago Martinelli scored two goals and made four assists for 2-0 Highview Christian, while Anthony Kneeland netted two goals. Andrew Richard scored a goal and assisted on two others.
Aaron Waite made 18 saves on 24 shots.
Andrew Maston scored two goals and Steve Ditrolio made a goal and an assist for 0-2-1 Greater Portland Christian. David Hasvrouh made 21 saves on 39 shots.
Girls soccer
Bangor 2, John Bapst 0
At Bangor, Laura Clarke scored the Rams’ first goal with a Megan McCrum assist and Justine Smith scored the other Bangor goal. Emily Gunning made nine saves on 10 shots shots for 2-1-1 Bangor.
Ashley Cluff came up with 11 saves on 18 shots for 1-3 John Bapst.

At Searsport, Jessica Wilson scored two goals to pace the Vikings to victory.
Nicole Zito scored the tie-breaking goal in the second half while Janelle Hamilton and Coleen Narofsky notched assists. Mo Hall made eight saves on 11 shots for 2-0-1 Searsport.
Lindsay Turner tallied an unassisted goal for the 0-3-1 Tigers. Daphne Robichaud came up with 19 saves on 26 shots.
Sumner 2, DI-Stonington 2 (OT)
At Deer Isle, Ellen Beattie’s second-half goal helped Sumner earn a tie against Deer Isle-Stonington.
Meghan Ruhlin scored the first goal for 0-3-1 Sumner of East Sullivan. Sandra Klausmeyer made eight saves on 10 shots.
Kourtney Larsen and Wren Warner scored the goals for the 0-3-1 Mariners. Christina Fifield made 18 saves on 20 shots.
Hermon 0, Orono 0 (2OT)
At Orono, the Hawks and Red Riots went into two overtimes, but could not produce a winner.
Shannon Dobbins made six saves on eight shots for 0-3-1 Hermon.
Joelle Clingerman and Marie Lint combined to make nine stops on 13 shots for 0-2-1 Orono.
PVHS 2, BC Patriots 2 (2OT)
At Bangor Christian, Ashley Dawson and Randy Rackley each scored a goal for the Howlers in a tie against the Patriots.
Jenn Plourde made 10 saves on 15 shots for 1-3-1 Penobscot Valley of Howland.
Monique Veilleux scored a goal and assisted on another for the 3-0-2 Patriots. Brittany Jago scored one goal and Pam Reitsma made 16 saves on 23 shots.
Presque Isle 5, Houlton 0
At Presque Isle, Melissa Demerchant and Jessica Price combined for five saves on six shots as the Wildcats blanked the Shiretowners.
Missy White, Nicole McKenna, Katie Delong, Natasha Deschene and Ashley Berube each scored a goal for 4-3 Presque Isle. Marigan Bishop had two assists and Billi Blanchard added one.
Anna Lenentine made 18 saves on 25 shots for 3-6 Houlton.

At Newport, Kristi Kennedy had a goal and an assist in the Warriors’ win over the Witches.
Michelle Barden scored a goal while Jenny Hawkes had an assist and Brandi Davis stopped one of two shots for 1-2-1 Nokomis.
Carolyn McAvoy scored for 0-4 Brewer while Sarah England made 15 saves on 17 shots.

At Guilford, Tedianne Galuski and Kristi Levesque scored two goals each as the Pirates shut out the Red Riots.

Jessie Newcomb posted 25 saves on 30 shots for 0-3 Orono.
