HAMPDEN – Shelly Worthley converted off a pass from Bethany Atkins late in the first period, giving Hampden Academy a 1-0 victory over Presque Isle in schoolgirl soccer play Tuesday.
Amy Cattell made 10 saves on 13 shots for 5-1 Hampden.
Jen White recorded 28 saves on 30 shots for 3-4-3 Presque Isle.

At East Corinth, Kristen Chavarie scored one goal and set up another to lead the Wolverines of East Millinocket to victory.
Heather Rosebush and Nicole Brown each chipped in with a goal for the 4-2 Wolverines and Amy Hamlin notched an assist. Goalie Keli Daigle made five saves on five shots.
Netkeeper Heather Roberts made 16 saves on 24 shots for the 1-6 Red Devils.

At Howland, Mandi Sage’s unassisted goal six minutes into the game gave the Penobscot Valley Howlers the winning edge. Sage dribbed inside the 18-yard line and pushed the ball past goalie Heidi Osgood.
Goalie Julie Delaite made 12 saves on 14 shots for the 2-3-1 Howlers.
Osgood finished with 14 saves on 17 shots for 1-4-1 lee.

At Dyer Brook the undefeated Cougars of Sherman Station cruised to their fifth victory behind goals rom Jamie Dyer and Melanie Shippee.
Both goals were unassisted with Dyer scoring in the first half and Shippee in the second. Goalie Carrie McNally made three saves on six shots for the 5-0-1 winners.
Netkeeper Diana Goodall finished with 15 saves on 17 shots for 5-3 Southern Aroostook.
