College soccer

STANDISH – The University of New England of Biddeford improved to 6-2 with a 1-0 win over host St. Joseph’s College in women’s college soccer action Monday.

The game’s only score came in the second half when Sara Semones scored off an assist from Stacie Desmarais.

UNE goalie Alison Morrissey made seven saves of 13 shots. Karen Rogers made eight saves on 10 shots for the Monks, now 3-3-1.
