As property owners on the Penjajawoc Stream, we have followed the Widewaters Wal-Mart proposal.
Widewaters has met all local and other state guidelines for the project. Their experts have proven that lighting and noise from Wal-Mart will not affect the marsh or bird habitat.
Widewaters, as well as property owners, have tried to work out access to the marsh for bird watching. Why haven’t BACORD and Audubon accepted this easement offer? Are they truly concerned for the birds in the marsh or do they have some other objective?
We believe the Wal-Mart project will be good economically for the area, will not hurt the environment and should be allowed to proceed.
