EAST ORLAND – The dedication of the new Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery and Fisheries Resource Center will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.
The facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tours of the new facility will be offered at noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view exhibits produced by federal, state and tribal agencies, private organizations and groups regarding their work in watershed quality and wildlife and wildlife habitat conservation and enhancement activities.
The hatchery is located in East Orland, five miles north of Bucksport on Route 1. Visitors should take the Hatchery Road at Toddy Pond. The event will be held under tents, rain or shine. For more information, call 469-6701, Ext. 215, or e-mail edwardsteenstra@fws.gov.
