On the Nov. 3 edition of “Maine Watch” aired on Maine public television, a caller asked Gov. McKernan why marijuana is illegal. He replied, “It is harmful to our health and leads to other drug use.” There are studies that show that what he said is accurate.
The next caller asked why Saco was chosen as a site for a new state-run liquor store. There are studies that show alcohol to be dangerous to our health and also leads to other drug use. What is wrong with this picture? David Lawpaugh Ellsworth
