Apple crisp tasty way to use recent produce

Apples are in and this pudding is an easy way to use up some of them.

Apple Crisp 3-3 1/2 cups sliced apples Sugar and cinnamon 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 small egg 1 teaspoon melted butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Sprinkle sliced apples with a little sugar and cinnamon. Combine brown sugar, flour, baking powder, egg, butter, salt and cinnamon until crumbly. Spread on top of the apples. Bake at 350 F about 35 minutes or until apples are soft. Serve with cream.

Ham Loaf 1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup milk 1 tablespoon onion juice Dash of Worchester sauce

1/2 cup fine cracker crumbs 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 pound ground beef

1/2 pound lean ground pork

1/2 pound ground cooked ham

Combine egg, milk, onion juice, Worcestershire sauce, crumbs, salt and pepper. Add to ground meats; mix thoroughly. Pack into a 9-by-5-by-3-inch greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Serve with Horseradish Sauce.

To prepare sauce, combine 1 cup heavy cream, whipped, 1/4 cup prepared horseradish and a dash of salt. Blend well and serve.
