Gouldville PTO organizes annual fair to benefit library

PRESQUE ISLE — The Parent Teacher Organization of Gouldville School will hold its ninth annual fun fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the school.

More than 18 games and booths are planned, including a color wheel, a moose run, a sponge toss, a jail and a cakewalk. Tickets will sell for 10 cents, and most games require only one ticket. All game players will receive a prize.

Many prizes are being offered, including a Walkman, a cassette-radio alarm clock, a camera, calculators and stuffed animals.

In the cafeteria, hot dogs, popcorn and sodas may be purchased for less than $1. This year, parents may browse at a book sale held in the school, sponsored by the Pieces of Eight Bookstore, while their children play the games.

The proceeds from the event will be used for improvements to the school’s library. This year’s chairmen are Pat and Nicole Cote, co-presidents of the PTO.
