GUILFORD – Lori Keyte went 4-for-5 with two RBIs to help the Dexter High School Tigers defeat Piscataquis Community 9-1 in schoolgirl softball action here Wednesday.

Lynn Herscey went 3-for-4 and Marlene Carnes had seven strikeouts to earn the season-opening win for the Tigers.

For PCHS, Daralyn Smiley drove in the only run of the game and finished 3-for-3.
