Union Trust Co. has announced that LORRAINE S. OUELLETTE has been promoted to assistant trust officer. A Husson College graduate, Ouellette has been a trust assistant since 1992 and is currently enrolled in a certified employee benefit specialist program.

St. Joseph Healthcare has announced the appointment of ELAINE GERARD, as director of Alternative Health Services of St. Joseph Inc. Formerly nurse manager for the medical floor and surgical day care unit at St. Joseph, Gerard completed her RN work at Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in Massachusetts.

Webber Energy Fuels has announced that PATRICIA HARRIET-WELSH has been promoted to the position of assistant human resources manager. She has been employed with Webber for more than two years and has worked on special projects as well human resource activities.

JOHN G. BATHERSON, has joined the law firm of Rella, Dostie & Tucker as an associate attorney in the law firm’s Bangor office. A graduate of Colby College, Batherson received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Vermont Law School.

Union Square Associates, the new owners of Union Square Mall in Dover-Foxcroft, have hired JAMES HARVEY as mall manager. Harvey operates Jim Harvey Photography in the mall and will operate the mall business office from the same location.

ARNOLD HARTFORD of Corinna was recently honored on his retirement from Fayscott Co. in Dexter. Hartford has worked as a machinist at the plant for 40 years.

Transport Plus has opened in the Bangor area to help both the young and elderly who need rides to scheduled appointments such as music lessons and doctor’s visits.

Busy parents can now call and have a child picked up at school and delivered to activities, according to Bonnie Drew, owner of Transport Plus. The elderly will now have an alternative to riding a bus or waiting for a taxi.

More than 30 dealers are exhibiting their wares in the new antiques and collectibles mall located in a renovated shoe factory on Route 15. Owned and managed by Jeff and Dawn Schaller, The Emporium is open year-round from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The mall is closed on Thursdays. Chapel Hill Boutique is now open for business at the Chapel Hill Wedding Center on Outer Hammond Street in Bangor. The boutique, which is combined with the Bridal Gallery, offers mother-of-the-bride dresses, pant suits and regular suits and dresses for the career woman. Sizes range from small to size 24.
