ROCKPORT — Voters in Camden and Rockport approved the $7.9 million SAD 28 budget by more than 2-to-1 Tuesday.

The 1994-95 budget passed 1,130-545. The vote was 729-347 in Camden and 401-198 in Rockport.

Voters also supported a $912,000 bond issue for capital improvements, 1,113-541. It passed 718-352 in Camden and 395-189 in Rockport.

The school board met Wednesday afternoon to open bids for the work, which includes repairs to the district’s four schools, improving ventilation and heating systems and bringing the buildings into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
