Pat Conley passed for two touchdowns for Colby and ran for a third as the White Mules trounced Hamilton 29-7 in college football action Saturday.
In other games involving schools, Trinity beat Bowdoin 35-14 at Brunswick; Middlebury downed visiting Bates 28-7; and Fitchburg State defeated Maine Maritime 21-13 at Castine.
Trinity 35, Bowdoin 14
Trinity’s Brian Fabrizio ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns in its win over Bowdoin. Fabrizio scored on a 13-yard run in the second quarter that gave Trinity the lead and a 5-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
Bowdoin (1-4) got on the scoreboard first when Justin Hardison dashed into the end zone on a quarterback keeper after his team got the ball on the Trinity 11 because of a bungled snap on a Trinity punt attempt.
Middlebury 28, Bates 7
Mike Keenan threw three touchdown passes to lead Middlebury over Bates.
Bates scored when 32 yards rushing by Sean Atkins and a 14-yard connection from Kane Jankoski to Matt Orlando set up a 1-yard plunge by Jankoski.
Colby 29, Hamilton 7
Aaron Stepka ran for 170 yards on 29 carries and scored a touchdown for Colby (2-3).
Conley was 13-of-23 for 165 yards and rushed five times for 18 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown.
Hamilton (0-5) scored its only touchdown when William Carey caught a 2-yard pass from Brandon Holtslag 30 seconds before halftime.
Fitchburg 21, MMA 13
Dave McDonnell ran for 156 yards and a touchdown as Fitchburg State beat winless Maine Maritime 21-13.
Maine Maritime (0-6) scored the game’s first touchdown on a 23-yard run by Evan Gauvin and closed out the scoring early in the fourth period when Pat Bard ran into the end zone from 24 yards out.
