PITTSFIELD — Sebasticook Valley Hospital will host a Lunch’n’Learn session on How to Can Foods Safely from noon to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, in the East Wing Conference Room.
Presenters are Patricia Goode and Linda Bridger, two SVH staffers who have extensive experience in home canning.
Fearing that canning may become a lost skill, they wish to take their audience through all the steps of picking, preparing and preserving food with simple how-to directions.
Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch, a beverage will be provided.
