We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Bangor Fire Department and those companies that so ably assisted them on July 12 at our office on Hammond Street.
They answered our 911 call in an unbelievably short time and promptly and efficiently took control of a very rapidly deteriorating situation. Their men went into the burning structure with little personal regard for their own safety. They threw tarps and protective covers over our files and much of our expensive equipment — saving all our records and many personal items as well.
We wish to express particular gratitude to several men who were overcome by heat and smoke during the fire. Our special vote of thanks should go to firefighter Tim Mullins, who despite fighting his own personal battle, was there on the job fighting the fire. Our best wishes and prayers are with him.
I hope the citizens of Bangor appreciate the quality and courage of the firefighters they employ to do a hard and dangerous job. I have no idea what these men are paid — but whatever it is — it’s not enough.
Thanks to all who helped us! William F. Mouradian, DMD Margaret Mouradian Cathy Coffin Eileen Donahue Helene Haggerty Lana Webb Shannon Meister Bangor
