Two men were charged early Monday morning with burglary and theft at Jandreau’s Market, South Main Street, Caribou, according to Police Chief Robert Long.
Jody Dudley, 20, was arrested a short time after the alleged robbery, and Sean Ouellette, 18, was arrested in the store, Long said.
Police were uncertain Monday as to what type of merchandise allegedly was taken from the convenience store.
Bail for each defendant was set at $5,000 with a surety or $1,000 cash, according to Long. Ouellette posted bail Monday afternoon, police said.
Investigating were Sgt. Louis McNeal with officers Doug Conroy and Steve Michaud.
Troopers assigned to Maine State Police Troop F at Houlton are investigating the following incidents that occurred recently in the Aroostook County area:
Trooper Thomas Pelletier is investigating a criminal mischief incident at St. John. A gate at the entrance to a private road was struck by a vehicle causing damage estimated at $300.
Pelletier also is investigating a burglary in Winterville Plantation. A Mercury outboard motor and assorted fishing equipment valued at $2,785 were stolen from a boathouse at St. Froid Lake.
Trooper Timmy Saucier is investigating the theft of a Craftsman tool box and assorted American Standard tools valued at $350 from a site on Fitzpatrick Road in Haynesville.
Saucier also is investigating a burglary at Katahdin High School in Sherman Station. Damage estimated at $3,500 was done when a rear door to the school gymnasium was damaged and five recently planted trees were pulled up. No damage was done to the interior of the school.
Trooper Ralph Graves is investigating a burglary that occurred on Cote Road in Conner Township. A water pump and hoses valued at $150 were stolen.
Graves also is investigating a criminal mischief incident at a farm on New Canada Road in New Canada Plantation. Windows valued at $200 were broken out of three vehicles.
Trooper John York is investigating a burglary at Auto Machine Inc. on U.S. Route 1 in Presque Isle. A check in the amount of $1,243 and $1,351 in cash were stolen.
Trooper John Cote is investigating a burglary at a residence on U.S. Route 1 in Littleton. Assorted household appliances and other items valued by the owner at $1,165 were stolen.
Cote also is investigating a burglary at a storage shed on B Road in Hammond Plantation. A Sears lathe and eight assorted lathe chisels valued at $550 were stolen.
Trooper Garfield Holmes is investigating a criminal mischief incident at the state liquor store and Amber’s Klassie Klos on Main Street in Patten. Damage estimated at $500 was done to an aluminum-framed, glass entry door leading into both businesses.
