PORTLAND — The city will come alive on New Year’s Eve with its 11th annual New Year’s/Portland celebration featuring 100 shows at more than 20 locations in the downtown arts district.

Events will be open to those wearing a New Year’s/Portland admission button, now on sale at most Shop ‘n Save supermarkets, Maine Arts and at all performances for $10, adults; $6, children under 12; and $28 for families having up to three children. For information, call 772-9012 or 800-639-4212.
