Underwood’s dozen leads PI girls past Oxford Hills

SOUTH PARIS – Rachel Underwood scored 12 points in leading the Presque Isle Wildcats to a 68-58 schoolgirl basketball victory over Oxford Hills here Friday.

Angela Pulcifur added 10 points for the 4-1 Wildcats.

Erin Webber’s game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds led Oxford Hills. Kristy York also had 18 points, with 14 coming from the foul line.

Greenville 50, Rangeley 45

At Rangeley, the Greenville Lakers got a scare from their hosts but got 17 points and 12 rebounds from Chelsey Ryder and remained undefeated.

Greenville pounded Rangeley by 42 points in the season opener.

Jen Searles added 15 points for the winners while Sara Hanscom grabbed 10 rebounds.

Beth Sheehan paced the Rangeley attack with 15 points and Kelly Morton netted 10.

For the host Howlers, Jeremy Sweet scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Brad Durost added 18 points.
