I would like to express my sorrow to the parents who lost their children in the automobile accident that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 31. I want to tell each teen-ager out there that speed kills. When I read the article about the three kids killed in the high-speed auto accident, I began to feel that teens are taking their lives for granted. They think that driving a car at a high speed is a game or a rush. It’s only a death wish.
I live in a town where a passenger was killed because the driver thought he was OK to drive. Speed was also involved. The victim was a friend to all, which made coping with the death even harder. I know from this experience that the town of Marshfield will be a wreck due to this occurrence. I only want the best for the families that have to deal with their loss. Maybe this will tell other teens that driving a car is not a game. It’s a way of life and a necessity. It’s not a way of death. Michelle Gamage Rockland
