Simon Mitchell and Keli Daigle, both of the University of Maine-Presque Isle, were named Fleet Bank/Maine Athletic Conference Players of the week for the period ending Jan. 19.

Mitchell, from Melbourne, Australia, won the men’s honor after averaging 13 points , 7.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.5 steal in three games.

Daigle, a freshman from East Millinocket, took MAC women’s rookie honors by averaging 16 points in two games, including an 11-for-13 shooting effort against Husson.
