The Bangor Band will be joined by the 195th Army Band for a combined concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at the Paul Bunyan Park Bandstand. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Bangor Civic Center.

Three smaller groups of the 195th will perform at noon Tuesday in conjunction with “Live Music in Bangor Day.” The brass quintet will perform at the Pierce Memorial. The German band will appear at the Maliseet Gardens. The jazz band will be at West Market Square.

Gordon Bowie will conduct the Bangor Band in: “American Cadet March,” by R.B. Hall; symphonic sketch “Sundown,” by M. DeMey; “The Peanut Vendor,” by Simmons; march from “First Suite in E-flat for Military Band,” by G. Holst; “International Vaudeville March,” by R. Alexander; “The King and I,” by Rodgers and Hammerstein; “Clarinet Polka,” by H. Davis; “Adventurous 127th,” by G.W. Bowie; and “Sixteen Tons,” arranged by A. Reed.

The combined bands will play four marches: “Top Kick,” by G. Bowie; “National Emblem,” by E.E. Bagley; “Vanguard of Democracy,” by K.L. King; and “Stars and Stripes Forever,” by John Philip Sousa.

Chief Warrant Officer M. Stanley Buchanan will conduct the 195th Army National Band in: “Phantom of the Opera,” by A. Webber; “Bullets and Bayonets,” by Sousa; “America, the Beautiful,” arranged by C. Dragon; “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorites,” by K.L. King; “Kitchen Fiesta,” by M. Story; “Miami Sound Machine,” by J. Bullock; “God Bless the USA,” by L. Greenwood; and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
