NORTH WHITEFIELD — A Coopers Mills teen-ager was killed Tuesday while operating a tractor on his grandfather’s farm.

Maine State Police said 17-year-old Shane Weeks was pulling a pickup truck out of a ditch when the tractor flipped backward and crushed him. Weeks was dead at the scene on state Route 218.
