Key players: Maine – C Marty Kariya (4 goals, 12 assists), RW Colin Shields (9 & 4), C Robert Liscak (4 & 9), LW Chris Heisten (8 & 3), LW Todd Jackson (5 & 5), D Francis Nault (3 & 7), G Frank Doyle (2-0-1, 1.76 goals-against average, .933 save percentage); Quinnipiac – LW Brian Herbert (5 & 15), C Matt Craig (10 & 9), D Matt Erhart (2 & 12), D Dan Ennis (6 & 7), RW Ryan Morton (8 & 4), D Wade Winkler (7 & 4), G Jamie Holden (6-2-1, 2.32, .928)

Outlook: The Bobcats have scored at least one power-play goal in all 13 games, while the Bears have killed off 30 of the last 31 power-play chances against them. The Bobcats get a lot of offense from the point as three of their top six scorers are blue-liners. Maine is 18-0-4 in its last 22 games at Alfond Arena, including 6-0-1 this season. The Bobcats are coming off a pair of tough road losses to Army, in which they had 54 shots on goal, and Northeastern. Maine has a nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-1), but it will be tested. Quinnipiac has allowed three goals or less in all but one game. Quinnipiac was an NCAA Tournament team a year ago and was the preseason pick to win the MAAC. Kariya has 3 & 12 in his last eight games and has game-winning points in the last three games, two goals and an assist. Quinnipiac will be playing its third road game in five nights.
