CALAIS – The Calais Suns wounded Brewer Tuesday night, handing the Falcons their first loss of the American Legion baseball season 11-10 on the back of two-hit performances by four Calais players.
The Suns, which had earlier taken an 8-4 lead with eight runs in the first inning, pulled back into the lead for good with three runs in the sixth.
Joe Viscelli had a double and triple, Brian Sherman came up with two singles, and Elliott Peabody and Shirl Penny each had a double and single.
For the Falcons, Don Sawyer and Tiger Stewart each had two singles. Jason Dority had two singles and a double.

Bangor 11, Waldo 5
At Searsport, Bangor scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to erase a 5-4 deficit and remain unbeaten.
Matt Kinney’s three-run homer in the sixth inning helped Bangor on its way to the win over Waldo County.
Jody Peak homered in the fifth to drive in three runs for Waldo.

At Skowhegan, Andy Trice knocked in four runs with a triple and two singles and John Montgomery fired a four-hitter as the Twins beat the Log Drivers.
Montgomery struck out four and walked one. Tony Turcotte singled twice and scored two runs and Brooks Sturtevant added an RBI single.
Luke Domareki had two hits for Skowhegan behind loser Chris Morris.

At Ellsworth, Dan Curtis pitched five innings of shutout ball and drove home three runs with two singles and a double as Trenton picked up its second victory.
Aaron Brown singled twice and drove home two runs.
Spencer Day doubled and singled and Mike Harris singled twice for winless Penquis.

At Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Ronnie Mayo and Justin Vantill both singled twice to drive in an RBI each as Mid-Maine defeated Old Town-Orono.
Adam Fitzpatrick singled and doubled to drive in a run, and Corey Hight added a two-run single for Mid-Maine.
For Old Town-Orono, Chris Hashey hit an RBI triple.
