Austin wins two at 95

HERMON – Jon Austin of Otis won both Saturday and Sunday’s Late Model Sportsman features at Speedway 95.

Saturday, Austin outdistanced Don Alexander Jr. of Levant, who finished second, and Dave McLaughlin who took third.

Sunday, Austin and John Phippen Jr. of Bar Harbor battled to the finish with Phippen taking second. Art Beam of Levant finished third.

At Wiscasset, Stan Meserve of Unity captured his eighth win of the season when he took the checkered flag in the Pro Stock division Friday.

Kenny Wright of Woolwich took second and Chris Faulkingham of Bath finished third.

At Owego, N.Y., Dave Dion of Hudson, N.H., earned his second win of the season taking the checkered flag in the Fisher Snowplow 150 for the NASCAR Busch North Series Grand National Division on Saturday.

Tom Bolles of Ellington, Conn., took second and Kelly Moore of Scarborough finished third.
