WASHBURN – Michelle Parent rebounded a missed free throw and scored the putback to break a tie with 2:30 left and lift the Van Buren girls basketball team to a 44-39 victory over Washburn Saturday in high school action.

Parent finished with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds and Casie Caron contributed 13 points for the Crusaders.

Liza Maynard’s 13 points and Nicole McLaughlin’s 11 points and 11 rebounds led Washburn.
