Madore lifts Penquis past PCHSs

GUILFORD – Becca Madden’s scored 16 points as Penquis of Milo edged rival Piscataquis 32-31 in a schoolgirl basketball game Thursday night.

Jenny Getchell led Piscataquis Community with 11 points.

Ten of Brooker’s points came during a game-breaking 24-8 third-quarter spurt. Traci Weatherhead also had a double-double (11 points, 16 rebounds) for Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Danielle Searles popped in 14 points and hauled down 21 rebounds for Fort Fairfield. Whitney Langworthy had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Matt Carey had 16 points for the Ponies and Brandon Hall tossed in 11 more.

Nick Elliott’s 14 points and Adam Allen’s 10 led Central.
