Witches stop Broncos 63-49> Brewer evens record to 3-3

HAMPDEN – The Brewer Witches jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead en route to a 63-49 schoolboy basketball victory over the Hampden Academy Broncos Tuesday night.

Mike Johnston paced the winners with 17 points and Troy Leavitt added 14. Buddy Chambers grabbed 10 rebounds.

Aaron Peppard poured in 23 points for the Broncos and had eight rebounds. Dan Martin notched six assists.

Senior guard Erik Giberson added 16 points for the winners. Michael Kimball chipped in with 11 and Nate Jamo had 10.

Chris Plummer paced Central with 16 points. Tony Greatorex added 13 while Adam Elcewicz and Justin Bragdon had 10 each.
