Sea smoke

Any New Year’s Eve party could use a burst of flavor, and Stonington Sea Products has a bevy of options, including its $89 smoked seafood party pack. Stonington Sea Products’ gourmet packs include such treats as smoked scallops, salsa smoked mussels, hickory-roasted salmon, Stonewall Kitchen sauces, and peekytoe crabmeat. The brunch bunch

If you’re looking for a leisurely, luscious way to spend a Sunday morning, stop by Hancock’s of Blue Hill, which will serve special holiday brunches this Sunday and next. You can start with an oven-baked omelet or a Stilton tart with apple wedges, try a haddock rollup, and finish it all off with a homemade bread pudding with caramel sauce. For information or reservations, which are suggested, call 374-3272.

Taste of Maine

The results are in, and the Thomaston Cafe has been named “favorite restaurant” overall in the Maine Department of Agriculture’s Maine Menus Month, which took place in October. Among the regional winners were Lompoc Cafe in Bar Harbor, the Farmington Diner, the Rendezvous Restaurant in Limestone, Moose Point Tavern in Jackman, and Country Style Restaurant in Sebec.
