OLD TOWN — The fall semester will begin Monday, Sept. 10, with courses from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Old Town Community Center to improve reading and math skills, obtain a GED, earn a diploma, or pursue a hobby.
Registration will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 5 and 6, at the Old Town High School guidance office.
A new course, Improving Family Relations Through Better Communications, will be offered Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 26, for parents of teen-agers.
Other courses will include You and the Law, on Thursdays. CPR and sign language courses will be offered at a date to be announced.
Basic reading, math, GED preparation, typing, word processing, quilting, watercolor and English are held Mondays. Computers will be held Tuesdays at the Helen Hunt School and Algebra I on Thursdays.
Reading, math, GED preparation, sewing, dog obedience, rug braiding, basketry, U.S. history, defensive driving and family relations will be held Wednesdays.
Computer accounting, speed reading, algebra, refresher typing, floral design, law, Christmas crafts and stenciling will be on Thursdays.
