Colleges

EMTC

BANGOR – Eastern Maine Technical College has launched its first-ever capital campaign, Working People: Eastern Maine Technical College’s Campaign for the New Economy.

The focal point of the campaign will be a new campus center, designed to become the gateway to the campus. Katahdin Hall, currently a residence hall, will be renovated and expanded to create the new center. The center will be home to five new assets for the college: a state-of-the-art Technical Resource Center and Library; an Academic Assistance Center; the Center for Early Childhood Education and Childcare; the Center for Business and Industry; and the Student Services Center.

The goal for the Working People campaign is $2 million, of which $500,000 is intended for library resources and instructional equipment endowments. Privately contributed money, combined with the bond issue supporting Eastern Maine Technical College, will allow the construction of a facility that will be a major resource for the college, businesses and the community.
