AUGUSTA — The Maine Legislature created the Commission on Vietnam and Atomic Veterans in 1989 to conduct a medical survey of all veterans in the state who feel they may have been exposed to agent orange or ionizing radiation.
Veterans who believe they were exposed to toxic materials or radiation should contact Campbell Colton or Melanie Knox of the commission or call 289-4065 or 1-800-345-0116.
The commission’s goal is to compile data and confront federal officials on what it described as “conscious and willful negligence.”
