Dragons defeat Hornets Woodland (8-0) works overtime

LUBEC – Kaitlyn Leeman scored 17 points to help Woodland squeak by Lubec 55-54 in overtime to stay unbeaten in schoolgirl basketbal action Tuesday night.

Katie Smith and Phylicia Seavey each scored eight points for Woodland.

Leann Pike netted 18 points for Lubec. Chelsea hall scored 15 points and Breanne McPherson added 10.

At Sawyer Arena, Bangor, David Sawyer scored a goal and had two assists to help lead the 2-5 Crusaders past Foxcroft Academy.

Kim Meagher had a goal and an assist for the Broncos while Matt Holmes and Kyle Maynard scored a goal apiece. Dan Leighton made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Ethan Annis and Nick Freese each scored a goal for Foxcroft while Derek Smith, Dustin Colbry and Ryan McNulty tallied assists. Dan Perkins made 17 saves on 21 shots for the Ponies.
