MARS HILL – Alicia Rideout buried a game-winning 3-pointer with about 10 seconds to left in the first overtime to lift the Central Aroostook girls basketball team to a 46-45 victory over Washburn Thursday in high school action.
The Panthers trailed by 13 after three quarters but switched to a zone press to force turnovers, which led to easy baskets. Lindsay Michaud led Central Aroostook with 12 points and Rideout chipped in with 11.
Nicole McLaughlin led the Beavers with 15 points, and Emily Campbell added 11.
