AMHERST, Mass. – Sarah Walsh scored 27 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Colby College White Mules to a 67-63 women’s basketball victory over the Amherst College Jeffs Friday night.
Bianca Belcher added 22 points and Wendy Bonner 11 for Colby.
Shannon Russell topped Amherst with 20 points, and Katie Latham had 16.

Women’s hockey

At Storrs, Conn., Shannon Connolly of Connecticut scored the tying goal on the power play 8:34 into the third period, helping the Huskies earn an overtime tie against the Black Bears.
Karen Droog had given UMaine (6-7-4 overall, 1-4-2 Hockey East) a 2-1 lead with a power-play goal 7:51 into the third, but Connolly came back with the equalizer 43 seconds later.
Vicky Johnstone scored the other goal for the Bears. Meagan Aarts, Morgan Janusc and Cindy Biron notched assists for UMaine behind Lara Smart, who made 30 saves.
Jacquelyn McGuire scored UConn’s first goal, on the power play, unassisted. Shannon Murphy made 23 saves for the Huskies (7-11-4, 1-3-3).
