Tracy lifts Piscatquis to upset of Foxcroft

GUILFORD – Tyler Tracy banked in a 16-foot jumper from near the top of the key at the buzzer Friday night, lifting Piscataquis Community High to a 42-40 upset schoolboy basketball victory over previously undefeated Foxcroft Academy.

Foxcroft had beaten Piscataquis by 18 earlier this season in Dover-Foxcroft .

Tracy finished with 20 points to lead the Pirates. John Garrett-Young notched 10.

Matt Carey sparked Foxcroft with 15 points.

Brian Leighton, Dave Sawyer and Zac Grenier each had a goal plus an assist for 4-7 John Bapst. Kim Meagher added a goal while Reuben Thibodeau, Tyler Cyr and Matt Holmes dished out an assist apiece. Jamie Hardy made 19 saves on 20 shots.

Josh Desmardis scored off a pass from Derek McGillicuddy for the 1-8 Minutemen of Millinocket. Jay Kim stopped 33 of 40 shots.
