Jenny Lathrop became the first Colby College woman to win a Division I ski race Saturday when she won the women’s slalom at the St. Lawrence University Winter Carnival.

Lathrop had times of 48.89 and 50.28 seconds for a two-run total of 1:38.17. Jamie Kingsbury of the University of Vermont was second in 1:39.71.

Lathrop joins men’s skier Rob Saunders as the only two Colby skiers to win Division I races. Saunders won a race last year.
